Giles C. McCrary EMS Facility
The town of Post, Texas has a proud history that dates back to the breakfast cereal magnate, C.W. Post in the early 20th century. Today it serves as the county seat of Garza County and has recently seen a population increase due to the recent oil, wind and natural gas resources found throughout the region. With the population increase, the Post-Garza County Healthcare District’s Emergency Medical Services region has increased as well. Serving not only Post and Garza County, the EMS provides a life line to many throughout the southeastern edge of the Great Plains. This growth constituted a greater need for emergency services and Halo is honored to partner with Post and Garza County along with the many paramedics this facility will house to provide the services needed.
Giles C. McCrary, a former mayor and long time resident and patron of Post, continues to support this community after his passing. This facility will bear his name as a tribute to the great things he and his family have done and continue to do throughout West Texas and Post. Halo was honored to meet his lovely wife, Helen for the groundbreaking ceremony.
